Our vineyard invites to the grape harvest
When in fall the grapes have reached their highest sugar level it is time for the grape harvest - for the Köck family a highlight of the year. .
Together with friends and acquaintances we get down to the harvest of the mellow fruits.
Gerhard Köck / hobby-vine-grower "Six years ago people have asked me, what's the purpose of viniculture on the sea level of 750 metres, because usually in Austria it ends at a sea level of 600 metres.I have simply tried it out and in the meantime we know that this is a fantastic location. We reside beond the fog deviding line and as far as the sugar level concerns we have no problems. We grow our grapes on a southern hillside, that is protected from the north. Here you can harvest the perfect grapes to create a great red wine."

The small vineyard includes approximately 1 hectar and is situated at a southern hillside of the Pollenitzen, at the sea level of about 750 metres and is one of the highest situated vineyards of Austria.
Gerhard Köck has started about 6 years ago to make viniculture his hobby. In the meantime six different types of wine grow in his vineyard.
Between Zweiget and Rößler, Chardonney and Savignon Blanc down to the organicly grown types Solaris and Muskaris you can find it all in vineyard at the Pollenitzen.
